Bluetooth Audio Just Stops

I've previously posted this on the IS350h forum but thought it I might have a go here at getting a problem solved. My Iphone 5 connects via Bluetooth fine for telephone connection and has downloaded my address book, something that couldn't be done on my '07 IS250's MM system. I've set favourites up and the system has dropped them a couple of times, and text messaging coming through is a bit hit and miss. E mails, well nothing at all, despite the Iphone software supposedly being comparable with the Lexus.

However, whilst I'd appreciate improvements in the above areas, it's the audio Bluetooth that is really doing my head in. When I select Bluetooth as the source it finds the music and playback starts fine, with the track etc being displayed on the nav screen. About 5 minutes later it just stops. On checking the Iphone screen the display shows the music as paused and a quick tap is all that is needed to start the music off again, for about another 5 minutes before it stops again.

I can't decide if it's an Iphone Bluetooth software issue, or something to do with the Lexus software.

Anyone out there able to shed any light?

I know I could plug it in and use the USB function, but it's very convenient being able just to jump in the car and waft off under hybrid power!

BTW I loved my IS250 and was pleased to be able to sell it to a colleague, but I really really love the new one.

Do you know anyone else with an Iphone 5? If so make sure it has the same version of IOS as yours and then I'd try it on there. If you get the same problems then I would suggest you go back to Lexus/your dealer and get a software update to the car.

I have the same problem(s). I find a reboot of the phone and a re-pairing solves the music issues for a couple of weeks.

The sms works ok, but then randomly today I started getting no sms's, but all my emails instead....

I have tried the Iphone 5, 5S and a Iphone 5 without the most upto date ios 7. something and they are all the same
