Hi,

I'm new to this forum, I've had my is200 for over a year now, but all of a sudden I'm loosing coolant, I've been looking though loads of threads on here for help.

I've got red residue on the top of the water pump next to the bypass pipe, would most people recommend replacing water pump and the o rings on the bypass pipe or just the o rings??

Please be gentle I'm new :-)

hi -

a picture could help. i would say change the bypass pipe & O rings. then see if any leaks. its the easier step & sounding more like it as its coolant build up on top of the pump -

good luck.

hi I would flush the system and change the bypass o rings and fill with the correct coolant. sounds like it has had a leak for some time and been topped up with water only and inside the water jackets is starting to corrode
