Problems With Ct 200H Stereo.

Is anyone else getting this problem. I have a CT 200h. When driving at speed during the day 70mph plus I get the noise of indicators, wipers when used, anything electrical through the stereo when listening to the radio. At night I get it all the time, at any speed. Always on any FM station. Also, Really fed up with Bluetooth dropping out all the time, it loses my phone in the system and will only re-connect when I restart the car itself. So anyone else?

Martin

Hi Martin, Sorry to hear your issues, not going to help you much but just to let you know that mine is fine including Bluetooth never drops out (although mine is the Nav version with DAB as well as FM). The dealer network is usually spot on so hopefully they can help as should be still under warranty? I have tried to look on the Ct200h.com forum, but this seems to be down at the moment. Don't ever remember reading any issues though, other than some loosing phone contacts from time to time.

Hope you get it sorted.

Speaking in general terms, the symptoms you are describing are similar to the " pick up " difficulties sometimes encountered on industrial systems upon which some of the signal screening isn't what it should be. In other words, something is interfering with the blue tooth signal to such an extent that it simply drops out, that same something is also interfering with the radio signal such that you hear the wiper motor and the indicator relay. I'm not sure how the blue tooth actually works but I would expect there to be some sort of screened short range transmitter . Your radio will definitely have a screened receiver. I suspect that the screening may well be the common denominator here; possibly the aerial connection to the in car entertainment system isn't properly plugged in or faulty which is allowing the signal screening to be compromised.

The solution seems to be an unscientific take it to bits and have a look for something around the in car entertainment aerial which is loose or broken.
