I should be attend but will know by the end of Jan, does anyone know how LOC can get a stand, would rather not have the car in a parking lot its too good for that :shifty:

Somebody from LOC (staff) would have to book a stand. You need minimum of 10 cars to have a stand.

Long story short.....

it was a lot more active but back in 2009 a load of knowledgable, very active members (most running 200's, supercharged, turbo'd etc) fell out with others including LOC staff and started their own forum and have their own stands at shows now etc...

Sadly, you have to book club stand space at Japfest really early as it goes very quickly.

After years of attending Japfest on various club stands I gave it a miss last year as most of these shows now have moved away from "classic/ modern classic car" type shows into pure modified/tuning shows, with little in the way of really nice, original cars. Ford Fair is the same, a once great show is now mainly Fast Fords rather than Classic Fords. On the other hand I'm probably just getting too old and grumpy

It was like that when i went 3 years ago ish. Apparently from long standing attendees it has got a lot smaller and morphed as you say.

Look forward to seeing your car Lee..... I'm also attending with another club although I won't be in my IS300, I'm taking my mates RS Altezza

Excellent Chris,we will have to meet up for a chat, will be good.

RS Altezza...very nice indeed.Do you have any pics of the Altezza. What's the difference with the altezza rs to my 6 cylinder turbo?I know it's 4 cylinder and 300bhp,oh and an import. What does the RS version offer then as I have no idea,I'm very new to the Lexus world as you know.

PM me if it's easier as I don't want to clog up this thread.

Thanks.Lee.

That's the only pics I have of the Tezza on the right. My 300 on the left and my mates 300 sportscross who also owns the Tezza.

RS Tezza is 220bhp not 300bhp mate and is a 4 pot Yamaha tuned beams engine N/A. It was only available in Japan. There's an AS altezza also but that had the same 1 GFE engine as a Lexus IS200 so is considerably slower.

Love the pic of the cars outide the garage...looks really good.

Ah right I see,so it's 220bhp then,Somebody told me 300,I thought I had seen something about a yamaha engine to.Well at least I know the difference now, quite a rare car nowadays then I would imagine.

Thanks.Lee.
