Rubber Door Seal Rejuvenation...all Models

The door seals were getting a bit flat and therefore letting in a lot of wind noise, priced up new ones (98 gs300) and the price was astronomical.

While looking at old ones noticed they are just like hollow tubes, so why not pack them with something???

After numerous tests found that the pvc washer tube works best (8mm o/d).

I cut a little hole in bottom of original seaj near sill and using baby oil as a lubricant (less likely to degrade rubber) feed tube through original seal,

When you reach end just cut off pipe and seal hole with rubber glue.

Job done, no more wind or road noise through seals and only cost £25 for all doors and boot.

Best bit as well is you can do it all sat down LOL.

Einzett Gummi Pflege comes highly recommended for maintaining the rubber and helps avoid the frozen door issue in the winter months. It about as easy to apply as it gets. Everyone should have some of this stuff I only wish I had found it sooner.
