Fuel Cap Won't Open Is200

Hi just wondered if anyone else has had any trouble with the fuel cap not opening when you pull the lever? It's really annoying as I can't fill up unless I'm with someone any help will be appreciated :)

Has the little spring broke on the flap?

Possibly you have to pull the lever while prying the cap open but it has done this since I got it so I don't have a clue where anything should be

I had trouble with mine when I first got it, the bit around the screw cap is fairly flexible, mine just took a bit of mauling and messing with the spring to get it to function

In short, I strengthened the spring by widening it a little, this made the actual outer flap not quite flush when closed, I then moved the flexible inner part where the release pin is so it sat a little further in

I had the same problem. I found a piece of the spring had broken off by the petrol cap. I now have to prop the lever up with a block of wood & open the flap with my credit card.

I had to do that yesterday it was a right nightmare I'm tryna find a small hydraulic strut to weld in lol
