What's The Little Black Button Do?

Recommended Posts

Whilst trying to sort out my internal boot release switch, I noticed the little black button on the underside of the lower right hand side of the drivers side front facia. It is just above the bonnet release lever. Anyone know what this is for?

this I believe is the remote central locking beep volume control

It switches the warning beep on/off for when you try and lock the car with a door open.

Lowered standards again !

The earlier models ( well 93-94 models at least) don't just have a simple on/off button they have a variable volume control for the bleep under the dash :)

Now here's a question.... where on the car is the bleeper unit located?

No prizes just for fun.

There is no warning bleeper unit, it is a subliminal messaging device by Lexus
