Warning Messages

I have the following warning messages ABS, TRC off, check VSC, and check system. Some days they switch on/off 10 times a day then may not come on for a week. Will a OBD 2 tell me what the fault is or will it require a Lexus garage. Thank you.

Any good OBDII code reader should be able to diagnose the codes so if you have a local independant garage ask them to do this for you if you don't have access to one yourself.

Once you have the codes post them up and we can take a look for you.

Thank you for your reply . I do not have a reader but i will find a local garage. I wonder if it is worth buying my own , if you can recommend one that would be helpful .

I used one of these. very handy code reader and viewer, lots of other functions too.

I have found that a generic code reader is able to read engine related codes. The Ls400 has many more ECUs though. Even a £3500 bosch scanner wasn't able to read gearbox codes.

I am still not certain if the Toyota Techstream VCI can read other modules.

I have been looking at code readers, can anyboby recommend a reader that can read ABS faults. Thanks
