Differences Between Lexus Is200 Cd Units?

Hello, i want to know what are the diffrences between lexus IS200 CD unit with CD in lower place and with CD in upper place. Can i connect CD unit with CD in upper place in place where was CD unit with CD in lower place. Thank you for you answers. Sorry for my broken English language.

As far as i know, you have to match the number that was on the unit that came out of your car with the new unit that you want to put in to your car.

The numbers are on he front of the units.

As Jomo says you have to replace with same model number, The plugs on the wiring harness differ from each other on the top and bottom loading units.

So if the number is the same can i replace CD unit with bottom loading to CD unit with top loading or the model numbers will be different for CD unit with top loading and bottom loading? By the way thank you for information :)

The model numbers are different between top and bottom loaders. You wont find a top loader with same model number as a bottom loader.

Understood, i have one more question, are the connectors of CD unit with top loading and bottom loading wery different? Is there possibility to connect for example CD unit with top loading to bottom loading place if i solder the wires by scheme?

The plugs are different sizes with different wire colours, i tried what you are asking and gave up as it's not as easy as it sounds.
