Just had a thought !!!!

I own a LS400 that does not have a coolbox like the 430 however .............. I want one !!!

Is there anyone that has adapted the piping to the rear aircon vents on the back on the console and fabricated a vent to cool down the lower storage department in the centre console

Just a thought now as my aircon is ICE cold and I would love to use it to cool down the beers !!!

The centre console thing in my ls400 is a cool box, I didn't know that until I put a bar of chocolate in it for my little girl, had the air con on, and about 30 mins later, I opened the centre box to get it out for her, and it was like frozen

I have removed the bit of trim that seals against the vent when the centre console is closed. You can then close the rear vents and viola, a 30 second DIY coolbox with no tools required. Done it on mine ;)

Done !!!!!!

Brilliant quick fix

However I will over engineer it at some point as I can feel the cold air leaking out, I plan to seal it all up and add a non-return valve so that the air can circulate inside there, It looks relatively easy to do !!
