New Is300H Owner With Small Question

Recommended Posts

Hey guys,

I picked up my first ever lexus this week. It's a 2014 Is 300h black f-sport.

Couldn't be happier with it.

I'm from belgium by the way. I saw some other members who seem to be from the ame country :)

I already have a small question, if yo don't min answering.

I was thinking of debadging but i am unsure if the LEXUS (the text) logo can be removed without leaving any holes behind.

Anyone who has removed all badges?

Thanks.

Hello and welcome to the LOC.

Normally the badges are stuck on with adhesive but also have locating dowels which fit into holes fitted with plastic inserts into the panel they are attached to.

I would say the word 'Lexus' and the IS300h badges are stuck on whilst the Lexus emblem would be fixed on with pins through holes formed in the body. Admittedly I haven't done it to mine but it's how most manufacturers fix their badges.
