Does anyone know or can advise if the headlights need those blanking pieces stuck or are the lights universally adjusted ? I have a 2014 premier - thanks in anticipation

Thank you - having re looked at the brochure for 2014 ct200 the European safety pack includes stickers so that's a further indication. My last car an accord had easily removable clip on headlight stone chip protectors so I'd just clip them on in le shuttle (they had the stickers permanently on them) and I clip off on the shuttle coming back - no such option on the ct - c'est la vie !

Has it got HiD lamps? If so they may not require adapting as most HiDs have a virtually flat cut off field with just a small kick up to the left (RHD).

I know the LR Freelander has HiDs and they required no adjustment for abroad nor my ML.

The brochure says it has LED fogs and headlights I'm not sure about high beam but I assume they are halogens though may be hid. Last night shining at a white garage door on low beam there was a solid horizontal band of light. On high beam there's additional light higher and right to the extent that it looks as though only the offside head is full beaming but both are on

Well as long as the low beam produces a straight horizontal cut off you have no need to comvert anything on the lamps, the main beam is fine as you will be dipping that when approaching traffic appears just as you would in England

Have a great trip...........don't forget the breathalyzer kit!

I virtually live in the South of France and the advice re the headlights is correct - no adjustment needed, but the breathaliser is no longer required as the law was rescinded in March.

If you still want one, do NOT buy one on the ferry at £5.99 but at the first Carrefour Supermarket you see for 1.

Bon Voyage!

Good, the last I heard was you had to have them with you by law, but if caught without a kit the police would not pinch you, sounds more like double dutch than french :D
