I Know You Like Pics; Just Treated Myself To This

Recommended Posts

Had every intention of keeping my 460 for ever, but this came up and I fell in love with it.Saving £230 a year in car tax and getting 27.3 mpg, as opposed to 20 in the 460 (over the first 800 miles)

I've actually sat in one at Birmingham Lexus dealers, and it was a really lovely car, i will never be able to afford to buy one, unless i win the lottery, I'll buy one then, and as a little run around I'd buy the LFA

I'd hate that car.......the rear seat passengers look like they would be having more fun than me in the front! :D

What a luxurious bit of kit..........good luck finding a parking bay ;)

Very nice, I drove one at the Open Road Event a few years back, you had to have a race trained driver with you as you did with the ISF.

£101,00.00 new for that model, didn't ask if they would do it for a straight 100K in cash :)

All that car,all that power and driven by rubber belts with a CVT gearbox amazing!

You don't have a car like that and drive it yourself, what do you think the teddy bear is for :)

Well done Graham

Stunning!

Now that you have the LS600h how does it compare as far as driving experience goes with your LS460....I am saving up for one just in case my LS430 starts to cost serious money.....again!

Thanks for all the comments guys.As William says, the prices are coming down all the time, never say never. I bought my first Lexus, A 95reg MK3 400, about 12 years ago, not a lot of money and it's taken me all that time and a further 3, a 99reg MK4 400, a 06reg 430, and a 07reg 460 to get to this level.I'm just an ordinary working bloke, the rich fella was the 1 owner whose depreciation was over £65k in 5 years.

The table my Ted is sitting on (Ellis is his name,(Ellis 600, get it)folds down into the centre console,4th pic. He resides in the rear window normally and only comes out for photo shoots.

Driving is very similar to the 460. I expected the acceleration would not be as quick as the 600 weighs 2 ton but if you put your foot down, she really goes.

Had DAB radio fitted last week, the sound quality is superb, and with the car running on the batteries it really is good listening.

Managed to make the 1st Plank & Leggit meet but couldn't make the last one. Will try to make the next and if anyone fancies a drive, they're more than welcome.

Rear controls; 2 remotes, 1 for DVD (stand alone DVD player above the fridge between the seats) the other for the massaging seat. The rest of the knobs and switches are pretty much the same as the 430/460. Rear blinds, radio, climate control, reclining ottoman seat with the switches to forward and tilt the front passenger seat, heated/cooled seats, and things I'm still discovering.

Graham.

:driving: Mike as you have started it, you must take responsibility and organize it, which will mean, I with number 2 , will actually go first. :yahoo:

William how very dare you.

As I am organising it then I will also write the rules and the first rule is I go 1st, you can be first after me William so I have bought you up by one place. More rules to follow when and if others try and pinch my 1st place. Mike.

I would echo the sentiments of others too, at the end of the day a good used one is probably no more expensive than a reasonably priced new family car. I know which option I would go for!

Great car and a very nice colour combination.

It looks beautiful - will you miss the LKA from the LS460, or will you attempt the hack that has been suggested on the forum to partially enable it on your LS600hL?

I'd be tempted by a 2010 LS600 when they fall below £20K, especially with the 5 seat rear relaxation pack and full LKA enabled. Currently though they are still around £36K
