Cd Error Message

Hi Newbie here, just bought myself my first ever Lexus. Its a 2000 IS200,all in all its not bad for 14 years old. I have found an issue though, the CD player is showing 'Error3' when I try to use it. Does anyone know what that code means ?

This is a common problem with the IS200. It is a load error, it could just be a stuck CD but it is often a mechanism failure. If you search of error 3 or err3 you will find a lot of old threads about this issue.

They are some companies that can fix the issue but most people seem to replace the unit with something else or install an iPod connection kit (e.g. GROM) and give up on CDs.
