Hi Guys,

I am half thinking getting one of these, can get from states, total cost with the shipping will be about the £800 mark.

Is this overkill, if its too loud i would give it a miss, but it looks great and its not aftermarket, authentic part made in Japan.

any thoughts on this, either the tail pipe tips or this and couldn't be more difference in daylight between the 2.

I am not even sure if this will fit onto the stock bumper...it should do though.

This part would cost mega money from lexus.

This part is compatible with 1 vehicle(s) matching 2008 Lexus IS250 Base Sedan 4-Door 2.5L 2499CC V6 GAS DOHC Naturally Aspirated.

It is aftermarket fella as not manufactured by lexus. If you have heard it and like it then go for it!

I would (and did) go to a good custom exhaust manufacturer. You can then get a bespoke system for the same money you mention here but can specify sound and tips etc.

Also, does your price above include import charges and shipping?

no idea on duty, what would import duty be? shipping i can live up to, along with the cost of the part.

if its overkill, and if they duty is nuts i would give it a miss.

Looks like domestic shipping quote not international. I think import duty is 20% of the value of the purchase then you have fitting costs.

You could get a customs cat back system like the one in the pics for 700-900 all in.

Haha! Got you thinking. If it's only sound you are after custom place will be even cheaper and could just put on smaller back boxes :)

I use a company called hayward and scott and now 4 (soon to be 6) isf's run their systems.

I got a price in southampton ......

>>>

We are extremely fussing about the systems we build and ensure the tail pipes are just right and even each side, we are one of the top 3 powerflow sites across the UK for build quality and finish. We allocate the full day to building your system which is not common. We would drop the quote to £540 + VAT so £648 all in but that would be our best price.

Lifetime warranty, 304 grade stainless used in our boxes and pipe work which is 2mm thick. I hope you choose us I do believe it would be the right choice.

I am not sure how loud this would get (already have a typhoon CAI), with alot of city driving dont want the wrong people getting my attention.

Be careful with powerflow and long life as they are franchises and the system is only as good as the welder. I'd be hitting google with searches for best customs exhaust fitters in your area.

It looks a bit too much 'in your face' to me!

I can imagine chavs up against my bumper at lights..

I am in two minds what to do but I am veering towards keeping the stock tips. :$

I dont want better sound, if you mean 150dB stuff, actually that F sport sounds perfect, the seller says its not crazy loud, just a bit more gusy, it does look huge which is a bit worrying and i might get the wrong attention, it will be on the car for keeps......

Mate this is why customs systems are so good. Just find a good fitter and have a chat with them. They can build it to do what ever you want. If you don't want better sound (better doesn't have to mean super loud) then just keep it stock.

right so

I am not getting the F Sport, am pretty sure it will be too loud at low revs around town/city so thats a no for me, I also sent back the OEM tips.

I got Honda S2K tips, this is what it should look like in the end. They are apparently a popular choice for the is250/350
