Standard Ls 400 Alarm

Hi

I am in the middle of renewing my car insurance, the company i use needs to know what alarm is fitted??

As the quotation is done on-line i have a list to choose from:-

Lexus Is200

Lexus Talm001

Lexus Eis immobaliser

Lexus Eis 2 immobaliser

Lexus Toyota 5000

Lexus Tvss Iiia

Lexus Tvss Iiib

Does anyone know if one of these is the standard Ls400 alarm, or is it something else??

You don't say what age your LS is.

It appears that oct 95 onwards have both a cat 1 device and a cat 2 device installed.

CAT 2 devices

oct 95 - dec 97 EIS

jan 98 - oct 00 EIS 2

CAT 1 devices

jan 95 - sep 95 Toyota 5000

oct 95 - dec 97 TVSS IIIA

jan98 - oct 00 TVSS IV - MPX

i too have tried to find out, and the Thatcham site didn't help cos my lexus is a 1990, and their records don't seem to go back that far. it would also help if i had a handbook, or even a manual. are workshop manuals available for the lexus 400?

The Thatcham site only lists approved alarms that is why the LS400 is not listed before 95 as it is not CAT1 or CAT2 compliant

My Hong Kong LS 400 has a scorpion alarm fitted by Lexus. Any Help?

Bit late I know, but I had the same query a few months ago when I acquired my LS400, phoned Lexus UK, & they faxed a letter over within 20 mins confirming what was fitted when the car was built.
