Is300 Sportcross With Retro Fitted Park Sensor Issue

Hi guys,

Just a little issue at present. Picked up my first ever Lexus over the weekend and it has retro fitted rear parking sensors. These were fitted by my local Lexus dealer in Plymouth about 3 years ago. When I put the car in reverse, all I get is the constant tone as if the car is at the min distance from a wall for example, yet there is nothing behind the car at all. Do the sensors suffer from grime over the years and therefore give false readings or is this a known failure?

Any thoughts please.

Would be worth cleaning the face of the sensors and checking connections if possible.
