07 Is220 Indicator Bulb Replacement

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I have been trying unsuccessfully past couple of days to replace the right hand side indicator bulb housed inside the headlight.

Would appreciate if someone has a step by step guide on how to do this please?

I had taken it to a local garage last week and after fiddling it around for 30 mins they too gave up.

It looks (from reading the service manual) as though you have to remove the headlight - and that means you first have to remove the bumper. The bulb holder fits vertically and it's just forward of the main bulb hatch, but underneath the headlight.

It does say in the handbook to take it to a Lexus dealer, whereas instructions are given for the other bulbs.

There's supposed to be a law (or directive or something) that all bulbs must be replaceable at the roadside. Widely ignored, obviously!

I think John is correct the front bumper needs to be removed to access the indicator bulbs at the front, from what I've read it's not a difficult job ... a bit daunting just to change bulbs.....
