Replacing Xenon Bulbs

For anyone out there replacing their Xenon bulbs, I discovered why they say replace them as a pair. What a massive difference in brightness. So that means I've now got to get to the "awkward" one on the passenger side!

Also, after paying £78 each at Eurocarparts, for Phillips bulbs, I see Halfords of all people have them for £59 each. I thought about the eBay ones for £16 a pair but didn't think it worth the risk with a complex car, just in case.

I didn't realise they can lose so much of their brightness.

I have thought of that, but Halfords aren't my favourite outlet. I once got told off for bothering a staff member while he was making number plates, maybe I shouldn't hold a grudge!!

They do seem to be well overpriced on most things, but 15% is a good deal.

Anyway, job done in 10 minutes. It makes me wonder why some forums go on about it costing many hundreds to replace these bulbs, and what a nightmare of a task it is, both sides can be done in a total of about 20mins.

Blimey.....I wish that was the case with the is250!!! They could not have made it much more awkward if they'd tried.

Fingers like sausages would have been a hindrance, but fortunately mine aren't. It would have been a different story if I hadn't taken photos by sliding the phone camera down first to get a good look where the head can't go! The lights now have a nice, very slightly blue glint to them.
