Boot Switch

There are 2 separate buttons on boot switch. Longer one opens tailgate but small rounder one does nothing.

My car is not remote entry but should this button do something? I've been told it opens tailgate only if pressed when car is locked but only functional with remote entry.

Can anyone confirm this?

Hi on my CT200h the smaller round button locks the car (I do have smart locking)hope that helps.

Yep, same on mine which has the Smart Locking. The one feature when I ordered my CT. that I thought I would not like but now would not do without it. Our C-Max has 'keyless go" but it's so frustrating as you have to use the remote to lock and unlock the car.

I'm pretty sure button only works if you have smart entry. Standard switch on all CT's.
