Interchangebility Of Suspension & Steering Parts

I have a nice low mileage black IS 200 manual which has taken a big knock when a nice woman in a little fiat rammed into my passenger side front wheel for no obvious reason other than her foot slipped from brake to accelerator big-style. Very little body damage - the wheel took nearly all the knock. The car is insurance-terms write off and I've been given it back but I'd like to get it back to running again.

New parts would cost me loads. There are lots of 12 -14 year old simliar make similar colour cars on the market as 'good runners' for about £1000 and I have someone who I trust to strip and assemble. My question is: how do I find out whether the parts of a given car of a given year will match my own? In other words, whether significant changes were made to these parts in the years concerned?

Any assistance appreciated.

As far as am aware should be the same from 1999 to 2005 so should be ok,although did change wheels, lights(colour) seats(full leather) on later models assuming you have the mk 1 IS200.
