Ls400S I've Seen, Anyone On Here?

Recommended Posts

So, I rarely travel anywhere without a camera and I've taken thousands of photos of older/classic cars over the years. I keep a particular eye out for anything Japanese, here are the LS400s I've seen and maybe you know of?

Shame, this was back in 2011.

One of my favourite views of the LS400.

Nice colour, interesting use of Supra wheels.

Is this a Mk1 or 2?

There's something about the headlights on the Mk3 that I don't like as much as the earlier models.

Seems like I only see green Mk4s! The last one was particularly interesting, it did a few laps at a trackday I was on in my Camry, with a custom exhaust it sounded lovely.

Hello Nigel.

The last car is mine, that was taken at Marham last year.

There is a video of me driving round the track somewhere on this site.

I think the heading is something like LS400 On The Track.

Whereabouts in Norfolk are you?

Steve.

Hi Steve, I'm down near Diss. And you?

Unless I've missed it, it would seem the RAF Marham trackdays have fizzled out - I guess they're busy on site doing other things. Bit of a shame, I really enjoyed throwing unsuitable cars around the track there.

I am from near Sutton Bridge.

I think the numbers have dwindled at the track days over the years, possibly because if you run a car for both days it can become very expensive. The track surface at Marham is very rough due to the fact it is a working runway and, as a consequence, quite destructive on tyres. My buddy that runs the 205 that is on the trailer in the picture can easily get through 12 tyres in a weekend.

I only took the Lex round for a bit of a giggle but I was very surprised on how well it handled at high speed.

If you happen to see me about anywhere come over for a chat, it would be nice to meet another Lexophile.

Steve.

Like many others here I guess, desperately saddened to see the first piccy of the historic " G " plate very early car, a little the worse for wear :luck:

( so pleased it wasn't one of mine ! )

I am Twinpot on the Swift Owners Forum.

The picture in the avatar is at 3 Holes near Wisbech. Coincidently, the truck ended up in that ditch by the hand of the guy that owns the Pug on the trailer in the last picture by SpottedLaurel.

Here is my daily driver.

Another local one, at last a Mk4 in something other than green:

Had a chat with the owner, it's his second and replaced a Mk3 earlier this year (I believe N990DVV pictured above). Bought it from a trader in Birmingham, with the Mk3 going in part-ex (which is now showing as untaxed, so doesn't seem to have found a new owner).

Did the Mk1 have the cross hatched grill? K28 UPG ?

Interesting use of Supra wheels - I had completely forgotten I owned a Supra Mk 3 for a couple of years. Not sure if I like the look of them on the Lexus? Scarce to find these days though a set with odd tyres on eBay at the moment in Stoke on Trent. I'll pass.
