Looks nice in the pictures and certainly worth a look. As regards the private plate it is only worth what someone is willing to pay, if the guy says it's worth £1500.00 pay him the retention fee for the plate and ask him to knock the value off the asking price,some how I don't think he will.

Nice idea Steve! Definitely worth haggling on though. Left messages for him but no reply today so perhaps it is gone already.

Looks very nice in the pictures but seems steeply prices for a '98 car. Early cars could get the dreaded abs fault which is worth keeping in mind. Plus the usual that low mileage doesn't mean no up and coming issues (perished bushes rather than worn out, that kind of thing). Slightly odd description, says one owner car but them says he bought it 2 years ago, which would make it 2 at least. Can't see why the private plate is worth much to most though, so not really worth paying extra for, just a nice to have to hide that it is one of the very early mk2's.

Nice color and awfully low mileage, almost too low. Sitting a lot can be bad for a car. Seals and gaskets can get brittle and components get stiff, like headlight adjusters.

And its short a couple cylinders ;)
