Everyone has a preference on tyre manufacturer. There are some good threads in the tyre section on the forum. You dont have to pay top money to get the best tyres. Also, what are you using them for? No point buying Eagle F1's if you are not in a very high performance car. They will be softer and as such wear more quickly and are designed for performance cars.

If you are just driving in a spirited manner then maybe look in to Falken as they are a great option for cheaper performance tyres. Personally having done a lot of research i like the Vredestien ultrac sessantas which are in the process of being replaced by the Vredestien ultrac vorti. They are quiet, good wet and dry grip, pretty good mileage from them and not mega expensive. They will become more and more populate imo for performance car owners.

Interesting. What will be the difference between the sessantas and vortis?

In theory the Vortis should build upon the Sessanta but it looks like the Vortis actually have worse performance in the wet so Sessanta would be the best bet as they seem equal in terms of DB level, dry performance and durability.

Uniroyal rain sport 3 are supposed to be ace. Cant go wrong with most tyres now as long as you take a good look at the reviews. Usually a michelin, dunlop or goodyear guy myself

Used Falken FK452 for some time and then Avon ZZ5 but put on Capitol Eco 007's last April. Found them really grippy and also fairly quiet. Wet grip is very good but as yet not used them in winter conditions. Everyone will give you different advice depending on their preferences. What suits 1 car or driver may not suit others.
