2014 Ct 200H F-Sport Buying Advice

Hi , sorry if I have posted in the wrong part of the forum.

Im looking to get a F-Sport variant new from a Snows Dealer soon , got a test drive lined up this weekend.

Anything I should be aware of ? What to look out for in the test drive etc etc.

I currently have the use of my old mans Auris Icon Hybrid , which has made me look at the CT200h in the first place. Is there any major differences in the power delivery in the CT200h or is it roughly the same.

Is there any room for haggling on the price. Would like to add the premium nav kit and also the protection pack , plus get it in the f sport white.

Any advice will be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Got my F Sport last September with premium nav kit and protection pack in Messa Red (fabulous colour). Dealer wanted the sale so pinned him down on part ex price. Got it all for around £28k.

Love the car. Was going for the Auris sport but found it very basic inside. Lexus so much better.

Ride a bit hard on 17 inch wheels but you get use to it. Doing an average of 50mpg.

Thanks , im used to harsh rides , esp on my Yaris SR. Hopefully the dealer will give me a decent price on it as well . How is the reversing camera on it ? The old mans and my own car has this on it and it has been quite useful.

Reversing camera would now not be without. You still need to check round you before moving though. Don't just rely on the camera.

Got £500 paint protection with the price too.

Get a good test drive. First one I had was for about 4 hours.

People don't like this being said here but it is essentially the same car with different body panels, interior, extra sound proofing, minor suspension tweaks and has a few more quality checks performed during the build process. It is however much more expensive, comes with an inferior warranty and has servicing costs which are double for exactly the same thing.

The drivetrain is the same.

Yeah im expecting more of the same, except I hope it handles a lot better than the old mans Auris , as going around corners quickly , the car seems to lean / body roll loads. Prolly due to the small 15 inch tyres with 65 profiles

it corners much better, certainly the F Sport - ride is a compromise though so it depends what you are looking for. It does carry some weight though because of the battery pack, not as nimble as a Yaris.

Not bothered about ride quality , can't be as bad as my Yaris. I guess I have to give it a good blast in some B roads on the test drive .

Well had the test drive this morning , pretty much as I expected it to me , the ride is not that firm at all. Steering is nice and composed, interior is very nice inside as well. Reversing camera is nice etc etc.

The bad points :- The boot is quite small for this level of car , also the rear seats leg room is hampered as well by some obstruction under the seat. Value for money wise , I don't think I can justify the price that they are asking for it , even though they discounted it by £2000 without me even trying.

Back to the drawing board for me I guess.

i'd work on your negotiating skills..

I bought a new f'sport for the wife in October.

White, Black Leather, Premium Nav, Sunroof.

Got the car for 26.5k and got a good price on our trade in too.

From my own experience they can be a little more expensive than other dealers, but on the other hand, they offer excellent service, and the quality of the cars that they sell is top notch. They seem to only select the very best for their showroom.

I still think you should be able to negotiate a better price. I would also try and negotiate a service plan: they may not be able / willing to budge on the price, but may be able to help with the service plan.

Try talking to Dan Palmer.
