Dash Cam Question

Recommended Posts

Hi all, can anyone offer advice on this? I bought a dash cam this week and although the camera is discreet the wires aren't. I was thinking of hard wiring it and the source closest is the rear view mirror. Would it be possible do you think to tap into that? It obviously has a power source there because of the little green light. Thanks.

PS I know it says dash can but it won't let me edit, that's what happens when you use a mobile with a small keypad!

Most have connectors (or extra's) to wire directly to the Battery.

For example: (May not fit yours)

https://joovuu.com/gb/car-accessories-/108-car-camera-hardwire-kit.html

Then one would stick the wires under the roof insulation / in the corner of the door pillar / under the carpet etc.

Also - Which cam?

Views on it?

Would you buy it again?

:)

Thanks for that. I bought the Transcend DrivePro 200 at £75. It's rated highly by many motoring organisations and comes with a 16gb sd card. It also has wifi for connecting to an Iphone or Android device and has brilliant picture quality. Early days yet but so far so good!

Excellent, thank you. And I can certainly recommend the Drivepro dash cam, although the sticky holder supplied with it isn't great, so I bought the optional one with a sucker mount.
