Hello From Rx400H Owner

Hello all

Joined the LOC today. I have a 2007 RX400h SE-L which I purchased from a dealer not far from me at the beginning of this month. It has to be the best cars I have ever driven. I currently get an average of about 35mpg with a daily roundtrip commute of 44 miles.

I haven't yet given it a good run out with distance but a trip to Austria next April will give it the test.

The sound system fitted is absolutely cracking; however the only downside is no iPod connection. Bit of a shame really.

Kind regards

Ed

Welcome Ed.

The RX is a great car. I'm the same as you averaging 35. I did a long run to the south of france but because of the long motorway trip mpg dropped to 29. Hybrids not so good on fast motorways ! I use one of those cassette adapters for the ipod.

This might help your iPod issue.

It doesn't, not in a 400h. It doesn't have Bluetooth audio or iPod awareness.

So quick to poo poo it without looking into it properly. :whistling:

So, if you go to Youtube and watch the video, and read the description, it tells you how to play music from your Bluetooth enabled device, via an A2DP Bluetooth bridge (in this case a unit made by RIM/Blackberry), to allow MP3 to be played through the AUX socket, wirelessly.

Yes, sorry didn't really look at it. However you've assumed the 400h has an AUX input :whistling:

I have, you're right. It's an utter disgrace if Lexus didn't fit one.
