Any Member Interested In My 2005 Wrapped 430 Ls

Recommended Posts

Hello all, Been missing awhile I know, health reasons, anyway seems its not to be that I own 5 best cars in the world at the same time, I never did get the 7 series or the S Class.

Not only that, but I have to dispose of the cars I have my 2006 Volkswagen Phaeton 77, 000 miles perfect. 2005 Jaguar Sovereign 73.000. again perfect. and my beloved 117.000 mile 2005 430 Ls which I had wrapped. this car is know to some members. and there are lots of photos on under (New to Me) thinking maybe 4000 euro plus expenses to deliver to uk. this is just about half of what the car stands me, I would like a member to have it as it is a good one. bilmac

Sorry to hear your news, and I hope you find good homes for your cars.

Just out of interest, what do you think of the Phaeton? I've always thought it a rather smart machine, in an understated (which for me is good!) way, and have wondered how it compares with a 430.

Sorry to hear of your news William - sounds like quite a collection of cars

I did borrow a VW Phaeton (3.0 litre petrol version) for a week from a dealer a few years back and whilst I found the overall build quality superb, I found the car to be very heavy and thirsty. I struggled to get more than 18 mpg and that was without putting my foot down.

In my opinion, it really lacked class but saying that, they offer superb value for money on the used market

Still nothing in this sector will top my LS430 though

every bit as good. just different, in my opinion it looks and drives much better, A younger mans car, would be my verdict,

As a diesel you would think it might be less engaging but you will be surprised if you try one.

I had identified the 5 best saloon cars as the Lexus Ls the Phaeton.the Jaguar XJ Sovereign the BMW 7 series and the S class

Sadly I never got to try the 7 Series or the S Class

Earlier ones were front wheel drive 3.2 petrol as against the all wheel drive modern car which is a different car altogether, I think if you got a chance to drive a newer one you would be surprised. bilmac

I do think these VW Phaetons offer an awful lot of car for the money on the used market - I'm sticking with my LS430 though. To me, nothing in this class of cars can touch it for reliability and quality.

I understand now why no one was interested.they must have thought " to good to be true", I wonder what's wrong with it.

I am surprised, no member commented on why so cheap, I meant pounds off course, I accept I did write euro, but I meant pounds, put it down to a senior moment. Now unfortunately another member is understandable annoyed, I can but apologise. William

Damn, I've had my 2000 ls430 about a month now and love it, but I would have bought yours if I seen it first. And to make things worse both of my brother's live in southern Ireland so I could have made it a visit/purchase weekend.

Hi William. I checked Cars for sale on the forum and don't see you car there. Has to be worth doing a For Sale thread on there. Mike

Hello Mike, no. apart from the post where I asked was any member interested I have not advertised the car. I made an error in stating euro which has another member understandable upset, as he was working from this post, had he read all my posts he may have seen that when I did advertise the car (one must go) it was at 5300 POUNDS. I have now decided that the car is not for sale, I don't need any bad feelings . William
