450H Door Unlocking Option

Hi All

Last year changed up from (some would say down from!) 400h to 450h. Loving it so far.

One annoying thing. The doors automatically lock when speed is more than 10MPH. Great. When stopped and in park all doors are still locked but driver's door and front passenger's door can be opened from inside using door handle normally BUT rear doors stay locked and cannot be opened from inside using handles. I have to press the unlock button on the driver's door arm rest to let passengers out. Can be embarrassing when they are adults but OK for children. The child locks are not on. I have looked at the customisable options in the handbook but this does not seem to be covered. Any bright ideas out there?

Hi JB - can be changed from setup - vehicle customisation (or there abouts) - select option to unlock when in P and should solve the problem, mines a 2013RX - although u hear that options gone on 14/15 ones?

Your lucky to still have the auto lock. They have dropped that feature on the new GS. Hope it doesn't go on other future models.

On my GS450 h MY 2008 I did the procedure to abilitate the auto-lock of door that originally was not set; of course it's possible to exclude the feature, too. Anyway, if you need to unlock all four doors, you can put in P the gear.

At the momet I don' t remember how to modify the settings, but probably you can find the way in forum, if you don't find ask and I will try to find where i put the infos :) ; another way to have it is to ask to Lexus dealer doing the mod by techstream program.
