Not Getting Hot And Bothered !

Good evening all

I've just added a 200is to the Lexus collection but I think I may have a problem, the drive home from picking the car was all good and uneventful with no issues.

When I arrived home I thought I'd have a quick poke around under the bonnet all appears ok apart from ....... The hose from what I assume to be the water pump is cold!

Top hose hot, heater nice and warm, engine temp bang in the middle of the guage, hoses soft and not pressurising can anyone suggest why it's cold or is this normal?

I will need to get timingbelt done nest week as overdue, could it be the pump at fault?

Many thanks in advance for any replys

Jonathan

Hello budy had the same problem with mine it'll be your thermostat that is stuck shut cost about a tenner from a motor factor and will take ten mins to change . You may as well change the pump at the same time a the cam belt
