Sat Nav Loss Of Detail

Recommended Posts

Hello. I've read lots of posts about sat nav systems not working and displaying error messages.

Mine is different. It's stopped displaying the road names of streets your approaching.

It continues to show the name of the road I'm on, and all the roads are still there.

Has anyone else experienced this loss of detail?

It's a 2004 Rex 300 SE-L. With 2004-2005 map data.

Thanks

My car has a more recent satnav than yours, but assuming that the basic functions are the same, could it be that you have accidently pressed the zoom out button?

I can't quite visualise what the screen looks like exactly, but there should be a + sign in the bottom left of the screen and a - sign in the opposite corner (possibly the other way around). As you zoom out, the map will become less detailed and you will loose the street names.

Hi, thanks for that, unfortunately its not a scale issue. I'm on the maximum zoom already. Used it yesterday to nav a route and it worked fine. I'm just missing detail I know was there before.
