Any Thoughts Anyone?

Recommended Posts

When I purchased my car, the dealer fitted a dashcam for me (hardwired) but I have had a couple of problems with the parking mode option draining the Battery.

The manufacture has updated the firmware and so it is hoped that it won't happen again.

I have had the Battery on charge today but, when I disconnected the charger and then reconnected the negative lead to the Battery, the alarm went off. This did not happen the last time that I had to do this.

Does anyone know what might have caused the alarm to sound please?

Many thanks.

Some times these things happen, partly to do with the alarm detecting the main power source is being tampered with - you sometimes get a couple of minute connections/disconnections as the lead arcs against the Battery terminal as you put it on. I wouldn't be concerned provide everything is functioning correctly now.

That's a relief, thank you ColinBarber.

Mind you I have to admit that I was a little unsettled during the night, wondering if the alarm might just go off again! I even put the keyfob on the bedside cabinet in case it was needed quickly!
