i received an email today from my local lexus dealer saying the following

"For offers this good, it's worth keeping it simple.

You can now get 24 months on your Lexus Extended Warranty - for
the price of 12."

just thought i would spread the word about the offer that is on at the moment

this includes the AA breakdown cover for the term of the warranty aswell

i purchased mine at christmas for £495 and you can pay monthly if you like..

I've just bought a CT200h from a dealer - they wanted to charge me £680 for the extended warranty! I pointed out it was £495 on the website, and he just looked a bit deflated ;-)

Now sure how dealers continue to get away with this. It has been nearly 1.5 years since the new pricing was introduced. There is no price for 12 month anymore, they only sell 24 months for £495 and Lexus are committing to not alter this price until at least the end of 2015.

They have made the warranty cheaper, the T&Cs force you to use Lexus dealers for servicing and the servicing rates have increase considerably in the last year.

The 24 months for the old 12 month price has been around for a long time now. Not sure if the £495 is a recent reduction (beginning of the year) however the Lexus website states all the current prices, including the CT £495 price, are valid until the end of the year:

thats strange colin as i had an email from lexus last year saying the £495 price would only be valid until the end of 2014,

it must be a line they use to get you to buy it now.

I was told about 1 yr again same thing these prices r for only limited time only pay 12 month get 2 yrs but have to get services done from them. They have dropped price

it must be a line they use to get you to buy it now.

Lexus seem to fix the prices for a year, but it doesn't mean the price will change after that time. Lexus, on the whole, choose to keep the pricing the same for 2015 that they used in 2014, the same could happen in 2016.

The marketing being used by dealers seems to imply that the pricing WILL go up and that you should act now to benefit from the deal
