  2. I've got pretty much the same unit as yours Dave. The sellers all say that I need a canbus adaptor to make the Android units to work in my car, guessing it will be the same for you. I haven't yet taken the step to Android, but hopefully in the near future 🤞
  3. I would simply emphasise that the Amayama parts I ordered and had fitted by my Indy are actually proper Toyota Lexus genuine parts Malc
  4. Life especially when retired can sometimes seem a bit the same every day and poor weather doesn’t help. However I am thankful for this in that no big life threatening issues are happening and hopefully summer will arrive soon to go out for a nice drive with the top down.

  6. Paul had seen it once before, he said. He was pretty confident on the phone prior, that this may be the issue. I guess it is a tricky manoeuvre to crush the tensioner in the vice, insert the pin, bolt it into position and then pull the pin. He adjusted for 2 teeth, but after rotating through 2 cycles the marks were still 1 tooth off, so the routine happened twice. He loosened the bank 1 cap so he could see the marks between the halves. Great knowledge. Apart from a thorough checkover, Paul also adjusted the parking brakes and linkage, pads and discs ok for at least 12 months There was one code remaining, a B1248 LAN issue, but this due to the fact that the radio was in my workshop at home🥴 A few computer tweaks were also done. Windscreen nozzles cleared and aimed. Window operation on key fob Auto rain sensors set wipers to intermittent when car stationary.
  7. I got both keys complete at time of delivery (March 24) of my RX450h+. Still awaiting the wheel bolts.
  8. Sorry to hear that. Any chance this was covered under the Relax warranty (assuming you had it serviced at a Lexus dealer)?
  9. Tbh if you don’t mind a Cat car i would grab the one priced at £15.900 , looks clean , has all the facelift goodies , decent mileage
  10. Happened to a friend on Nissan Qashqai. Modern headlights come as a unit. Cost to my friend upwards of £1750 including ECU for just one unit not pair. Rare incident the dealer said but when it happens, ridiculously expensive to put right.
  11. I had the same problem with water drips in the same place after a windscreen replacement - they hadn't done something correctly at the top of the screen and the water was running around the screen, behind the dash and dripping out under the glovebox. Although you haven't had the windscreen replaced as @CypressPhil suggests maybe the bonding has failed - it only takes a very small hole for a lot of water to get in. Worth focusing some running water onto the windscreen edges and see if it comes through.
  12. It is actually longer …im about a 1/3 of the way up it when i took the photo
  13. Hi Lycan Great choice of car there! Virtually identical to my GS250 Luxury with a tad over 70k on the clock. Gave mine a good wash, polish and wax today. Have to say the quality of paintwork on these cars is second to none. As far as maintenance goes, in 6 years of ownership all I've ever done is have it serviced by the main dealer. They actually aren't as expensive as you may initially believe. Only bits I've had to replace have been consumables like discs and pads. The electronics and mechanical aspects have been absolutely rock solid. They really are an extremely well built and superbly engineered car. I'd like to think both of our cars have plenty of life left in them without needing anything but standard servicing. Cheers.
  14. Damn....should've asked here instead of listening to the dealership. They told me, just drive and the car will adjust. No turning back now, already driven 2750+ miles in 3 weeks.
  15. Get marine grade in stainless steel 👍🏻
  16. I had a look at the second knackered new shock earlier, jacked up the front right and removed the wheel. Toyota part number is 48510-50111 which is a puzzle and it says on it ‘JL 18’ which is maybe the date code - July 2018
  17. I found a good solution for carrying muddy bikes inside the car… use the wife’s car 😆
  18. I'd much prefer to buy from the OC though, more likely to have been looked after!
  19. Mines a petrol coupe and it’s 94cm from the rear to where the back seats are. That’s where it’s deepest and where the roof mechanism will most probably intrude, not at the sides. That deepest area is 80cm wide. The boot area has all sorts of bumps and bulges which diminish it, and the boot lid protrudes down in places, so id recommend finding a v8 coupe and see if your walker fits either in the boot or in the back seats, and don’t rely on abstract measurements. i find it handy but I generally travel light or with multiple small bags and items that you can play Tetris with till they go in.
  20. I bought my car from Stoke and they were very helpful with a document issue that they sorted out for me. Can't really complain, overall they have been helpful and easy to communicate with and the car I bought has been absolutely 100% --- On the other hand they refused to put any more petrol in my new (used) car as it was showing empty.🤨. But maybe I got too good a deal and there was no more money left in it?🤔. Cost me £80 only 5 minutes after buying it.🥲
  21. If anyone is interested, I know of a cancelled order on a new LC convertible which may be for sale. Pearl White with dark blue interior and dark blue roof. I am not an involved party but can let anyone know the Lexus Dealership salesman's details if of interest. I bought my LC from this salesman and became aware of this ones availability while having mine serviced. I guess this must be the Ultimate Edition.
  22. I believe this engineer explains exactly why the noise happens at exactly 15:00 minutes in his video : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9GWKBbEMCC4
  23. Sounds fair... Except I have an SE-L so there's not a lot I can do about that. 🤣 That's the thing with old barges, once you have got yours up to snuff it's generally ill-advised to trade for another as you'll be inheriting an unknown quantity. I'll probably just end up doing what I can within the confines of the spare wheel well. I replaced the access hatch for the rear a/C filter as one of the clips had broken and it made me ponder if I could use it for other stuff. Whilst it's not useful for everyone, I've found the SE-L is a great family roadtrip machine though, I love sitting in the back with my daughter whilst Mrs D chauffeurs. The coolbox is decent enough for keeping cold beverages at hand too. A/C powered coolboxes are never as good as a proper fridge but I'd say this one is better than the ones I've had in the front of various cars, presumably because of the rear a/c unit. Only problem is fitting all the luggage in around your legs, sort of tempers the luxury vibe somewhat 😋
