  2. @BigDingus How are you getting on? I've been trying to tackle a similar issue with mine. Here is a big of useful info from another forum if it helps you...
  3. Funny I was about to post more or less the the exact same thing 😄. Need a V8 back in my life and think an ISF is the way to go and looking for one £20k or less. The grey prefacelift for £15k seems well priced. Would be interested to know any info on any of the ones currently for sale on AT.
  4. The RX500h should support Android Auto - however, at this time, it’s not wireless and you need to connect via a usb cable. Note that only one of your usb sockets in the car connects data to your screen (the rest are for charging only), so you also need to ensure the right cable is connected to the right usb port.
  5. Sorry I missed out that info! The MARK is '5024', so https://lexuspartsdirect.co.uk/product/lexus-ls-phase-3-radiator-mark-5024/ 16400-50241 ( 'MARK' 5024 Type B ) looks like the best bet. Thanks everyone for your help!

  7. Having been Recommended This Vehicle Tracker BY Our Very Experienced Friend Herb.. I Too Can Thoroughly Recommend This Little Gadget...It Connects With Two Wires One red and one Black to The 12v Battery In All Of Five Minutes Download the app and your Ready to Go..The information you get is Incredible and worth it alone for the report And power in your 12v Battery .....Which i hasten to add was always of Concern As It Powers so many Systems on the car....At The moment if you purchase the Tracker from Amazon its priced at just £19.98 and you may even get a Fiver off that as i Did...Subscriptions are 12/24/36 Months and are very Reasonable .. Personnally i feel with all the Canbus Theft Problems This is a Remarkable Tool to keep tabs on your Vehicle Should it Suddenly Disappear Without your knowledge..Obviously if a professional steals your car he will in all probability Disarm it.. But keep in Mind the Majority of Car Thefts are Conducted by Opportunists.. So In My Humble opinion Give this Gadget some Thought...The Customer Service fom the Company is Really good and very Helpfull ....Coverage is the UK and Europe..Well Worth a look.. My Opinion Only Of Course..!!!
  8. Hi HM, MMI unit ordered, awaiting delivery. I have found a local (Herts) installer, who seem to know what they are doing. I will keep this thread updated. I am amazed that no-one seems to have done this yet in the UK. My current work around, of use car's sat nav, and blue-tooth music to the car, using the phone for track listing, is primitive at best, and I cannot use my speed camera bot at the same time. Paul
  9. Read on a hifi site “a friend has a Jag iPace, plus a RAV4 for commute. Hates to admit he prefers driving the RAV” !! Open to offers as Lexus awaits!
  10. Is this for a pre MOT inspection or the MOT ? good luck whatever Malc
  11. I sometimes get a bit of "hesitation" at idle as you have mentioned - it's as though the engine just needs a few more revs. Only seems to happen in certain use cases - usually when the engine is warming up and the EV mode is close to kicking in. It's done it occasionally since I have had the car (which was 2 years old with 40K miles on it when I purchased it - now it's over 9 years old with 146K miles) so I haven't worried about it.
  12. Thank you everyone for your very helful advice and information. This is my first post. I feel most welcome 🙂
  13. Nice car! I am wondering how it drives compared to 450h GS, I understand that GS faster but handling wise, it should be more agile would think. What mpg can you get out of these engines, on a run? My average with 450h was 35mpg over 4 years.
  14. Crazy isn't it? I just wish we could go back to simple things like - bulb gone=replace bulb £10 max. Car won't start - it's either fuel or spark =simple diagnosis and fix. The old Yankee V8 muscle cars got it right, trouble was the build quality on those. Pontiac GTO The Judge is a car that has a 2 door coupé body style with a front positioned engine powering the rear wheels. Its engine is a naturally aspirated petrol, 6.5 litre, overhead valve 8 cylinder with 2 valves per cylinder. In this application it develops 366 bhp (371 PS/273 kW) of power at 5100 rpm, and maximum torque of 603 N·m (445 lb·ft/61.5 kgm) at 3600 rpm. A 4 speed manual 'box delivers the power to the wheels.
  15. Everyone knows that the NX,UX & LBX AWD Systems are Electronic & are controlled by the CPU. 10 Years ago the System had very limited instances when AWD was triggered but today it is far more sophisticated & is perfect for all On- Road conditions. Fit All-Weather tyres & the above could venture across the Countryside fields with ease but Owners of the above vehicles are not interested in this potential Quality. Tel
  16. I have recently gambled on an SC430. I've owned two LS400's over the past 16 years. This 03 model has an aftermarket switch installed in the centre console box alongside the 12v outlet. Removing the heated seat panel revealed that there were no connections to it, however, after removing the radio it was obvious the loom had been modified and exploring further two cables with blade connectors were there in the transmission tunnel. I will re-instigate this. The radio head unit had a blown 5A pcb fuse which I have replaced and the unit now runs well. I'm unsure if this "dirty" switch is the cause... The question is: Which feed should be switched to lessen parasitic loss? There is a 12v permanent (White/Red), a 12v momentary [or switched](Grey), and the Amp Turn-On trigger wire (also Grey).
  17. Maybe the US being a much larger market with vehicles covering greater mileages, there is a bigger turn over of spares8. Regardless, whether it's cars, car parts or electronic items of various sorts, invariably item for item it's more expensive in the UK than for the same item in the US.

  19. Paul had seen it once before, he said. He was pretty confident on the phone prior, that this may be the issue. I guess it is a tricky manoeuvre to crush the tensioner in the vice, insert the pin, bolt it into position and then pull the pin. He adjusted for 2 teeth, but after rotating through 2 cycles the marks were still 1 tooth off, so the routine happened twice. He loosened the bank 1 cap so he could see the marks between the halves. Great knowledge. Apart from a thorough checkover, Paul also adjusted the parking brakes and linkage, pads and discs ok for at least 12 months There was one code remaining, a B1248 LAN issue, but this due to the fact that the radio was in my workshop at home🥴 A few computer tweaks were also done. Windscreen nozzles cleared and aimed. Window operation on key fob Auto rain sensors set wipers to intermittent when car stationary.
  20. Sorry to hear that. Any chance this was covered under the Relax warranty (assuming you had it serviced at a Lexus dealer)?
  21. I had the same problem with water drips in the same place after a windscreen replacement - they hadn't done something correctly at the top of the screen and the water was running around the screen, behind the dash and dripping out under the glovebox. Although you haven't had the windscreen replaced as @CypressPhil suggests maybe the bonding has failed - it only takes a very small hole for a lot of water to get in. Worth focusing some running water onto the windscreen edges and see if it comes through.
  22. It is actually longer …im about a 1/3 of the way up it when i took the photo
  23. Damn....should've asked here instead of listening to the dealership. They told me, just drive and the car will adjust. No turning back now, already driven 2750+ miles in 3 weeks.
  24. Get marine grade in stainless steel 👍🏻
  25. I had a look at the second knackered new shock earlier, jacked up the front right and removed the wheel. Toyota part number is 48510-50111 which is a puzzle and it says on it ‘JL 18’ which is maybe the date code - July 2018
