Lexus NX Overtrail launched in Europe
Ken R replied to Ken R's topic in Lexus NX300h / NX200t / NX350h / NX450h Club
Think that there are a number of minor tweaks to the NX spec also going to be announced. Its likely the panoramic roof option will be added to the 450h+ range. -
Hi Hatat... Do you have access to your service book or manual. Under oil/top up there might be a small section explaining how much is acceptable to lose every 1000 miles. I've had more than one car now (at least 2 were Subarus 3.0L Spec B petrol) that came with a little card explaining that I could lose x amount over 1000 miles. Hence a good idea keeping an eye on the levels and also investigating how much oil loss is acceptable. Might be it's a few 100ml of oil short so at certain angles/times it's sending the low oil signals up. Hope you get it sorted (I know I'd be tempted to check the oil and if at the low mark/tolerance level when cold, to just top it up by a smidgen). *Smidgen being 200 to 300ml.

Hello everyone and hopefully your CT200' are treating you well. Just thought I better inquire as to which is best to go for in terms of reliabilty and easy to service at home etc etc. Sometimes in the LS430 it can become quite a chore getting to work and back without spending most of the earnings on fuel. Thankfully the wife passed last year and the odd occassion I've used her Honda 1.4 Civic it's been a pleasant exp at not spending so much at the fuel stations. Now she's almost had a full years ownership of her first car we've agree to upgrade and a CT200H seems to tick all the boxes. Just don't wanna end up with one that's a problem mark/year! Thanks again for your input which is always appreciated.

Rear trailing arm bush tool needed
Malc1 replied to granadaman's topic in RX 300 / RX 350 / RX 400h / RX 200t / RX 450h Club
Is the Lexus Dealer just touting for imagined work needed ? if there’s no MOT Advisory then I’d be wary of “ the need “ Malc -
I can confirm that if you polish it, the strut brace is indeed very shiny and probably adds 10 bhp despite the increase in weight.🙂 The short serious summary answer is, I don't think there's any significant handling advantage in having a front strut brace for normal or even fairly spirited driving. On the track, on the limit or in a smash where it should add a bit more rigidity perhaps it's worth having. To improve the handling without compromising the ride, fit good tyres, coilovers and better ARBs. When I first fitted it I would say I was 'in tune' with the car and was convinced the front top strut brace would make no difference at all but in practice I felt it did make it feel a fraction more stable. It's a shame the old forum notes are gone as I remember doing a very brief review. The SC is good fun and more capable than most realise considering it's a flexible cabriolet but If you want the car to handle and go fast the first thing to do is to leave the roof on, the windows up and think about fitting a roll cage. They are strong, well built cars but you really don't want to be upside down on the tarmac or in a ditch in one of these. Coilovers, wide wheels, wide sticky, tyres, uprated front anti-roll bar (Aristo/GS TTE) and an ISF rear anti-roll bar all definitely make a noticeable difference. Adding the underbody brace also stiffened it. Having a proper leather steering wheel to grip helps too. Mine isn't a posh Cusco brace but it has the optional authentic Lexus sticker to impress Uncle Bob the race scrutineer.

2015 RCF for sale
Spunkmeyer replied to Spunkmeyer's topic in Lexus F Club - Lexus IS-F / GS-F / RC-F Club
Hi it’s a perfect piece of kit on volume and no drone. Noticeable note but can also be quiet when cruising or not wanting attention. This is the rear silencer with ceramic tips version as per their H&S RCF website, with original cats. -

Attempt to steal via canbus of nx300h
Alan305 replied to semiloose's topic in Lexus NX300h / NX200t / NX350h / NX450h Club
Honda offered 5 years warranty and 5 years free servicing. I compared it to the packet of wild flower seeds from Lexus. It was a difficult choice. -
Imported ISF
DamianLEX replied to jeffrosie6's topic in Lexus F Club - Lexus IS-F / GS-F / RC-F Club
I got a response from RR racing and they didn’t do nor sell anything for my car. After searching for few hours I got all facts right this time. All mods are done by iCode in my car. So my 2 pieces brakes are iCode not RR. Same with suspension, exhaust, intake, speed delimiting, map(?) etc All done by iCode in Japan and it makes sense now. -
Good point. Although it does appear to be a generous offer it does imply that the EV is not suitable for some journeys.

Thanks mate. Had an is250 for years traded it in for a ct200h, which I hate. But 140 miles a day needed something decent on fuel. Now I'm working locally I'm wanting another is250. Im actually thinking buying a non ml system this time round as had to repair the speakers 2 times which was a faf, also considering maybe just get a full aftermarket setup. I did have a joying head unit in my camper, a few years ago, but it was very average, and had a few issues. I've read some reviews on mekede head units being decent and have android 12 and now with 12gb ram, but I don't know if this is a marketing strategy with false advertising The teyes is identical it seems but only android 10 and 6gb. Any one got experience of mekede?

Any more NEW LC500s coming to the UK?
Dingle Dell replied to Ned6708's topic in Lexus LC500 Coupe Club
Congratulations on the purchase; i'm sure you will have a great day picking it up. -
Thanks, as had a look their website and nothing listed for the ISF. Also had a look at sites in Japan , and them pads are really expensive and sold as a pair per corner. Guess I'll be going EBC YellowStuff as that's what I got on my Celica GT4 and bite is good even cold, but a bit dusty.

Thanks for your response. I got hold of an OBD reader and using an app on my phone I found some errors relating to ABS, but nothing for VSC. However, I cleared the errors shownand this seems to have removed the VSC notification. On another note, I also have a 'Check System' notice along with a tyre and engine symbols. These have been displayed for the last couple of years since I had a TPMS valve replaced on one wheel. This has never caused an MOT failure, but wonder if you could suggest how I may clear the message - using the OBD if possible.

LINK+ App not updating
RXtoNX replied to PopeyeDAW's topic in Lexus NX300h / NX200t / NX350h / NX450h Club
The send to car feature never worked properly on my previous RX and I found the satnav completely useless anyway. When I purchased the NX it was made clear to me that the app did not support the old “send to car” feature although it was hoped that it would do at some point in the future. I still find the on board satnav pretty useless so just use Google maps hence I can pre plan a route if I need to. -
I'm in the same position as Boris - haven't done anything yet, but considering selling (I would like to change to RX450h - yes, I'm getting old!) 2014 GS450h F-Sport with 4-wheeel steering, approx. 45k miles. Those were the days! I used to get free wine too. I had to sample the offerings sent by producers in the hope that we would buy them and stock them. 9 out of 10 bottles went straight down the sink. But the odd good wine went down well with dinner.🤪. The income tax tried unsuccessfully to "get" me for taxable advantages but failed in their endeavour. It was agreed in court that it was all tax free because it was a job function!😁

Potential LC Purchase - CANBUS
Simon Gibbs replied to zachkylealger's topic in Lexus LC500 Coupe Club
I have only just joined and don’t have an LC until Friday. I am part ex’ing an AMG. The insurance on my LC is £100 a year cheaper. No issues at all, Money Supermarket and got a good policy with Admiral. I live in a decent area where car theft isn’t too bad but the car will be on my driveway, it is tucked around a corner behind a hedge but nevertheless outside. I’ve had all sorts of German brands, Range Rover and a good friend driveway parks his Vantage S. Any decent car can get stolen but you can’t let that stop you getting the car you want. -
Insurance for LBX
smiffiesbitd replied to SH20's topic in Lexus LBX Owners Club - The All-New Lexus LBX
Following in from this thread. I managed to get insurance today for my LBX when it is ready for collection. SAGA could not insure as the code is not on their underwriters database. I had several false starts with comparison websites, companies quoting they will insure & clicking the link. I got to their websites & yep, you guessed it. They can’t find the vehicle to carry on with the quote. Finally got all the way with Admiral (under £500) & can drive my car away when it’s ready. 3 hours well spent - not! Karen -
