  2. Not an owner but i havent heard many owners complain much about the 200t in the UK at least. I know that since the 2.5l V6 has only direct injection it is prone to carboning up at higher mileages. Also i think most people are skeptical because it was viewed as not a very reliable engine in the US probably due to many people running it on regular fuel when it needed premium fuel (in the US). In the UK even non premium fuel is already good quality and 95octane so not as many issues with it in the UK from what i understand but perhaps people avoid it just because other arguably better options are available like the 300h for the IS and the 300h/450h for the GS.
  3. I've been looking for a Premier of the right spec, and found one. But it is a 200T, not a 300h. I'm aware that many members of this forum are lukewarm at best about this motor, some indeed very critical, mentioning slow power delivery and indecisive changing from the 8-speed gearbox. I would welcome hearing their impressions from drivers who have driven, or still drive, this car!
  4. Anyone know of/have experience of these? Tein have a good rep: https://balancemotorsport.co.uk/suspension/shock-absorbers-dampers/tein?vehicle_make=66&vehicle_model=214&product_list_limit=12
  5. But then again. If I wash my car in the garage no one can see me.

  7. Hi Leigh. Willydoit posted an excellent fix for this problem back in 2015 on this forum. Search "volume buttons". It worked for me! Good luck
  8. Btw, why import one? You won't be able to get it much cheaper than buying one here. There's 3 for sale on the marketplace atm. One of them is for £5k in Grey.
  9. I guess the thought of just how fast the traffic goes as well? I recall seeing a car doing a spin on the m5 about 100 metres ahead and all hell broke out! At 70+ there’s no room to stop given how close people drive….the ‘two chevrons thing doesn’t apply to me’ mentality? Combine the chance of a front wheel blow-out with a multiple shunt from a few trucks and THEN test the railings strength? The Avon bridge was closed completely a few years back after a fatality/shunt there. Meant a 12 mile detour for weeks after, mostly going past our house! I may be over cautious but I always try to keep a good space ahead when crossing the Avon bridge now.
  10. The truth is there is nothing reliable out there about the 2025 ES at all; I would share your doubts, instinctively, but I note also that the 2025 Camry in North America is only available as CVT hybrid but has an AWD option.
  11. I got that email too. £60k for a car that can only do 200 miles (or day trips up to 100 miles) and then takes 10 hours to charge. My cheap rate electric is only from 00:00 to 05:00 so you would be charging at 50% battery, so only a range of 100 miles (or up to 50 miles day trips). That’s about the same as my UX.
  12. Water shortage down here. Seems rude to wash the car. Have to take pics from a distance and in shade. This one under our verandas.
  13. Wish this was available sooner, but it might help set expectations about charging and range https://www.lexus.co.uk/new-cars/rz?Category=ALL-NEW RZ, SUV,ELECTRIC&ac=C8924&mc=E05&URN=455721&utm_campaign=C8924&utm_source=CRM&utm_medium=email&utm_content=E05#charging-calculator
  14. It will disable the speed limiter altogether. If you any questions, I'd contact Torque GT. They've been importing cars for a very long time, they know what they're talking about. They even provide a kph to mph conversion with odometer recalibration.
  15. Some other questions to daily drivers of the LC500 ... 1. Do you owners use regular Petrol with Ethanol and does that lower power, or, do you opt for Premium Fuel? 2. Earlier models do not have android auto or apple play but will the phone work via bluetooth for calls and possibly passing music through?
  16. That is indeed rare Malc, every LS400 I have looked at over the years has had water ingress in some form or another. i.e. boot seal, sunroof drain pipes not located correctly, antennae drain missing or draining into the boot, holes in the rear inner wings to name a few. Some worse than others, 'swimming pools' in the boot (wheel well or the pockets at the side) to 'tell tale signs' that water has been present at some point like the spare wheel in a mess with corrosion and white crud on the inside of the wheel. Maybe not puddles of water but condensation and dampness means there is moisture present somewhere or has been.
  17. I have found that if the engine cuts in from EV mode, for the initial cycle it is very noisy with a ticking, knocking noise. If I start it in HV straight away generally it is quiet from the start the other day I happened to start it with the accelerator depressed and the noise was there. i find that the engine will cut in on EV mode even with some miles of range left when the temperature is below 15 deg and often it is as I am accelerating (even gently) and so it could be that if the engine cold starts with the throttle open something else is happening to me it sounds like something ancillary to the engine (AC etc) or something is loose when cold, as once the EV goes back on any subsequent engine running is ok i will mention it to the garage when I’m in next time but I won’t hold much hope
  18. You need a code reader so you can find out the specific fault condition. If your car is 2015 you may also be covered by Relax if the Service History is up to date.
  19. Hi have you had a look on Auto Trader ? - there a some nice examples on there Facelift and Pre Facelift - and sales are sluggish at the moment
  20. I asked a genuine question. You reply is both unhelpful and IMHO you dont know the issues that i have had with this car from new.
  21. GS300 Calipers you can pick up for £150-200 for the pair. Pads / Discs are pretty much the same money as IS250 stuff. I think the only extra you'll have to buy is the dust shield if you want it. That's comes up to £18.50 each on Amayama from japan.
  22. Steering wheels dont make that sound normally. Maybe check to see if something is fouling between the steering and dash i.e change the position of the steering wheel if its that you should not hear the sound after changing the position. Else its better to get the dealer to investigate. From what i understand even though you might want to claim warranty they charge an hour or so of labour to diagnose the fault and if there is no fault you have to pay else if there is a fault and you're covered then they sort it out with the warranty without you having to pay
  23. Cheers mate, do you know if this will diable the cruise control limiter too?
  24. Actually went back to them and got it down to £947 eventually ,still enough but better
