  1. Past hour
  2. Sorry I’ve found over the years there is no loyalty with any insurance company there out there for one thing much money as possible
  3. Hi all, I have 4 Lexus SC430 alloys, not a scratch on them, I would like £200 per wheel, buyer could collect or arrange collection from Pembroke Dock, Pembrokeshire. The alloys were removed not long after purchase and stored in a garage, as I said, no scratches, dents, dings or curb rash. Thanks for looking, hopefully someone will enjoy a trip to Pembrokeshire soon. Jim

  5. I bought mine in Jan, 4800miles since, Avg 31.44mpg ... I found it took about 4 weeks for me to adjust to how to drive these for best mpg, ECO mode on/off doesn't seem to matter. On the majority of my longer distance journeys I pull either a boat or a tall covered trailer so factor that in. 60mph+ really hits mpg, scooting around town it'll easily go to 34mpg average. My best over a tank was 35mpg.
  6. That one is parked at newton auctioneers in hyde according to a supplied photo. Get your sherlock holmes hat on and do the necessary due diligence.
  7. Because i purchased the tyres 'as new' from a very nice gent on here. My local Lexus dealership isn't exactly on the doorstep, so use a tyre place 20 yards from where i work
  8. There are now two sites shown for Lexus Bournemouth - the aftersales centre shared with Toyota (where I went in February and was underwhelmed) plus the old Lexus Poole site in Poole for sales, although it also seems to have a workshop. Suggest you check which one you contacted, and try the other one. I am a distance from either, so would appreciate feedback / comments from anybody with recent experience of Lexus Bournemouth - either site.
  9. If lexus Didn,t Supply and Fit the Tyres Your Not On A Winner Scott.. Why didnt you ask lexus to Match the price from your Tyre dealer They usually Try there level Best..My opinion only..!!
  10. lol, i thought it sounded a bit rough
  11. Yeah i did a lot of research on this and sounds like its normal. The ECU deliberately decides to run the engine lean to generate more heat faster. This made no sense to me as i always thought more fuel=more energy and hence more heat. But apparently that is not the case. A lean mixture generates more heat because there is a more complete burning of fuel taking place vs a rich mixture where relatively speaking more fuel is wasted also in a rich mixture the unburnt fuel conducts some of the heat away. So i guess it makes sense that under certain situations where power demand is low e.g in traffic and when the engine wants to warm up fast that the ecu decides to run it lean. Strangely i was in the same situation today but it didn't do it and everything was smooth as always. Sometime in the next few weeks I'll still clean the throttle body, MAF sensor and replace the PCV valve just for good measure. Its also strange that cars these days dont come with replaceable fuel filters. Ive seen videos of people opening up the pump assembly to get at these "lifetime" filters and what comes out is nasty.
  12. Well after 20 mile back from tacky coast to mountain loveliness with the top down, I can confirm that Panama hats stay put without recourse to string or velcro. Road was in middle of pic, dodging the mountains.
  13. Maybe it hasn’t been changed! If that is the case, the belt has lasted very well. Not really any cause for concern when it is a non-interference engine if the belt does snap.
  14. I'll certainly try this, however the radio is always on. It suddenly went crazy after starting up today. I've tried switching off and restarting but no change to the fault
  15. It sounds like a selector button is stuck , like when a keyboard key or command key is constantly pressed. While the car is switched off - Maybe try giving all the relevant buttons a good workout i.e. press firmly, press press many times to see if it releases? Just a thought, may help?🤔
  16. My radio/CD unit is cycling through radio, CD, phone and external media constantly. If I hold the power off, it makes no difference. Any idea what the cause is?
  17. You can initialise the TPMS in the setting menu via the steering wheel control on the left.
  18. I have a well looked after one, usb on 54k miles. i wont part from it for less than 24k though
  19. The car is now running. It does however have a misfire and one AVC/LAN bus is down. All systems are up, except the radio. I will do a more comprehensive report soon. Apart from the new battery and the 140A fuse, there were nine other fuses and arc damage to one the ECU plugs. One pin to be precises must have been hit with a fair bit of current. When I took the ECU out I could smell it. I am going to scope the coil triggers to see if the misfire is a FET issue or loom/coil coincidence. I do not believe the monster reverse surge would have gone through the ECU to a coil without killing the ECU forst. On inspection it looks fine inside. Anyway I have been documenting my finds so I will publish soon.
  21. Lexus won't charge if they have fitted the new tyres
  22. Yeah, but he's been flat out in 1st and 2nd for 6 years... 🤣
  23. Now steady on Chris, you don't want to undo all your good work.😁
