Rear Camera

Hi Everyone

I have a IS300H Luxury and was wondering if a rear camera could be added to the current in car screen.

Or would this be a very expensive dealer option ? Thought we didn't use it alot on my other two Lexus but we miss it sometimes.

A dealer wouldn't do this. This type of thing is normally a factory fit option only as the wiring isn't typically in place and it would be very expensive to obtain the genuine parts.

I was actually speaking to a dealer with an F SPORT without nav. He said basic nav can be added but rear camera is factory fit only

Nothing is impossible to retrofit, but it probably not easy or cheap. Installing hardware is easy, running wires from the front of the car to the back can be done by almost anyone, but programming the relevant ECUs will be much harder.

We recently bought one for my Mom's Toyota SUV. It was installed by Toyota. The "screen" actually is on her rear view mirror. Pretty cool!!
