Glad to gear they have arrived....

By whom are they made.......?

I think you may have missed my question by accident Mark....

Just wondering who the manufacturer is?

Thanks. :)

don't know if this has already been answered (gear changes been notchy?) but does this improve or eliminate the clunking gear changes between 1st and 2nd that many people seem to have with the is200?

If it does then I'll have one.

I'd like one to have one anyway, but at least this way I can justify the expense to her a little more

Don't see how it can eliminate the clunking as that is feature of the gearbox not the shift. However as the change will be quicker maybe it will make it feel better. I guess people will have to try it and see.

TRD one is showing as under development. http://www.toyota-trd.com/en/strt/i_quick.html

The experience that i have on quick shifters are on super bikes where you dont need to use the clutch except to engage first gear and obviously changing down through the box are these the same?

No it's not the same scorpion. In fact you can change gear on your is200 without using the clutch if you want to. At a particular RPM (not sure which) you will be able to change gear easily without using the clutch.

All a quickshift does is change the fulcrum point of the lever to shorten the travel, which makes the gear change feel more positive and "sporty". C's (another manufacturer of quickshifts) did some time trials and claim faster 1/4 mile times using a quickshift.

Anyone know if the standard knob fits back on - or do you have to use the one supplied ?

Also be interesting to see the lever height vs gaitor.

OK guess I 'll have to wait for the photos like everyone else.

Count me in subject to a good review. B)

Not wanting to kick up a fuss here by why arent people intrested in the TRD one ?which is a proven quality item and priced about the same.

Im not having a go here at anyone.

Don't know Pete - maybe it's an availability issue. I'll look into it.
