110k Service Done

Got this done yesterday by the excellent team at Lexus Hull. Had a steady 70 mile drive north early in the morning up to Hull averaging 32.9 MPG on the way. Service was done with new rear shock, wiper blades and air/pollen filters for the sum of £788, also purchased the two year warranty for £795 - been an expensive week after having some paintwork on my Fireblade £675 and the rust on the wheel arches sorted on my LS400 £300 so am feeling very much poorer right now.

It's the first time I have had the car in at my dealers but the good news is that they backed up what my local mechanic said in that the car looks to have no faults and is in superb shape - particularly for the mileage - just goes to show how well built these cars are.

Looking forward to the next 110k mies although a quick calculation shows that will cost about £26k in fuel!

Hi Nick, agreed, good to know these are really well built cars. I'm intrigued though - what was the basic cost of your service before the filters and shock? The big services are every 60k and 100k as per Lexus:

I got my Lexus from Hull, sales man Mark, I dealt with, very nice chap and they are really good in terms of customer service, you also did well with the 2yrs extended Warranty.

is that calculation for fuel based on plenty of 0-60's? lol
