Aristo JZS147 stuff is probably a bit more difficult to get. I remember that many brands, like Espelir, HKS, and Eibach were carrying them.

Did you check the condition of your current shocks? If you go for a drop, they may wear much sooner. So, if they are ready for replacement, you better consider doing springs and shocks together.

By the way, it is a misunderstanding that coilovers are always harsh. I have Apexi WS coilovers and they are very comfortable, very close to stock.

You need to check the spring rate of the coilovers since these determine the stiffness. And yes, some coilovers are very stiff.

im on a tight budget so i thing coilovers are out of the window to be honest the shocks seem perfect at the mo i think i might try ringing spax or some one like that see if they do any of them what about sport shocks and springs any good ???

all i want is springs 40-60 mm drop

If you want a 40mm to 60mm drop you will probably have to get them custom made. You will probably also find that the shocks will be outside their designed opperating range and riding on the bump stops :o

You will probably be better off going along the tried and tested path of either a 30mm drop via springs, or a proper adjustable coil over suspension kit. Don't be tempted by cheap parts as they may be a false economy.

I agree with Mark. Either drop the standard 30mm with springs or install a comfort coilover set. Dropping 40-60 mm without changing shocks will mean the springs will have to be very stiff to stop it bottoming out and you said you don't want it that stiff.

Putting 19" wheels on in the first place is going to make your ride much firmer.

If you are on a tight budget I would go for the standard equivalent lowering springs as the standard GS 300 sport.

I did this on mine with Eibach 25mm lowering springs from TDI. The price was comparable with other specialist suppliers and the look in my opinion is fine with standard 18" alloys and 40 profile tyres.

If you go for 19" wheels the rolling circumference of the wheel and tyre should be no different to that of the standard 16" alloy and 65 profile tyre.

With 19" tyres you will no doubt be down to a 35 profile and a very hard ride.

With a GS there is no economic solution, you just have to bite the bullet and spend wisely.
