Alloy Colour?

looking for suggestions for a colour for our SC the car is silver and so are the alloys but was wondering if there was something different that looks good. Any pics would be good.

Thanks

So much is down to personal taste. For me it's getting them as close to the original colour as possible (assuming you're going for a refurb?) I really like your wheels, and if they were mine they would stay silver. I've never been a fan of grey or black, but as I say, it's all down to personal taste.

The original colour is the way to go - be warned however, get all 4 done as there is no official colour code for Lexus wheels so just try to match them as close as possible.

I was advised to let the paint guy choose but it turned out to be a mistake as we ended up with a colour that he liked which was a grey just a bit darker than primer and I dont like it, he is coming back to repaint them again, another £100. Have also managed to kerb one yesterday and against the darker coloured wheel it looks terrible, had it been a more traditional silver colur it probably wouldnt have stood out as much so I am thinking of going a traditional silver type colour. Our SC is dark metallic grey and has the wheels with the star shaped plastic trims on top so not sure how well that would work. will follow this thread with interest as I also need to decide on a colour

euh, at last, u have made a decision ???

Yes we just went with a standard silver type shade which looks nice against the metallic colour of the wheel inserts. A major factor in the colour change was due to managing to kerb one of the wheels which stood out like a sore thumb with the darker coloured wheels whereas we thought by painting them a standard silver any future scuffs will be less obvious.

I thought I would chip[ in with what I did to my wheels on my 2006 facelift sc.

I knew the wheels needed a refirb when I bought the car so immediately got someone in to do the job. I had mine done in the standard bright silver, star silver three. Two out of the three star shaped centres were flaking and underneath I noticed a chrome finish so I paint strippered the lacquer off to reveal a hard chrome finish which I washed and polished off and fitted as is. Against the twilight amethyst pearl colour of the car I personally really like them, there are pictures of an American sc in the same colour with chrome wheels so it looks a bit similar. For my taste the dark original finish is a bit dour but then I like bright colours which TAP isn't until it sparkles in the sunlight with the sparkles in the paint finish. Perhaps some will say yuk but there is no accounting for taste aye.
