Dab Radio Reception Issue With Dashcam In Use.

Since installing my new dashcam to the left of the rear view mirror I have noticed that it wipes out most of the 'weaker' DAB signals. I know that the DAB aerial is in the same area and the radio does not like the camera!

My question is; has anyone had a similar issue and, if so, how did you get around it?? OR, does anyone have a suggestion other than re-site the camera!

I guess your only choices are to either relocate the camera or relocated the DAB aerial.

Which dashcam have you got? One or two UK models have a quite well known issue with DAB reception, which can be resolved with a new power cable.

Thanks for the response swing! In answer to your question I am using the E-Prance D101 dashcam, is this one of the cams that has power supply issues??

Don't know that model, but I think the UK model (ie by a UK company, not an imported unit) had issues only when used in dual camera mode as the cable wasn't sufficiently shielded.

As Stephen mentioned, I think there is a possible cure by fitting a ferrite magnet around the power cable.
