Just found a great way to get exhaust tips from nasty black (like mine were) to shiny stainless again.

I bought some of the nastiest, most caustic oven cleaner I could find and slopped it on - left it overnight.

Washed it off in the morning and the tips gleam like new!!:wow:

Solvol works great if you can see some bare betal - baked on carbon is a bit more tricky!!

Have you tried FINE grade wire wool, I used it on my old Skyline Blitz tail pipe to good results, also great for the barbi mesh.
