Using Uk Hdd Sat Nav From Ct For A Japanese Import Hs250H?

Recommended Posts

Hi all

Just joined this forum for a word of wisdom. I have imported a JDM 2011 HS250h saloon into the UK and it still has Japanese sat nav. I think the sat nav is HDD based.

Without going for an aftermarket option with custom fascias etc, does anyone know the best way to get my OEM HDD Japanese sat nav to use UK maps, without losing any other functionality (A/C & fan indicator etc.)? Is it possible to 'add' UK maps to the existing HDD?

I have already contacted Lexus UK who don't want to touch this.

Would I be able to say for example, buy the HDD/"brain" unit from a UK-spec LS or CT model from the breakers and replace?

Any advice would be much appreciated!

The sat nav I have is this one:

Hi Mitsuo and welcome to the LOC, we are a
friendly bunch and some of us even know how to pull them to bits and
put them back together again, with of course the one bolt and washer
left over.

We recommend you spend a couple of mins
looking over the rules of the LOC, we will be asking questions later

I cant help with your present queries
but I'm sure someone will be along ASAP. What a fantastic looking interior.
