Pretty certain there was never a four wheel drive Sportcross.

Compared to the GS the Sportcross will be a more sportier ride, firmer suspension but not too firm. Seats will be a little narrower, but still very comfortable, fantastic load lugging space should you need it with the rear seats down.

Performance is brisk, gear changes in the auto are near seamless and MPG similar to the GS.

Depends what you like/need but I'd have another one.

Thanks barney. To be honest I'd prefer an ls430 but a decent one is out of budget. I don't want something too sporty otherwise I'd keep my mk1 mx5. Just liked the quality of the gs I had so definitely want to go with a lexus

Hi Guys

Happy New Year to you all!

I have a IS300 Sportcrsoss and love it... it's not 4x4 though.... and never will be.

All 2 wheel drive Lexus's are, shall we say, as far as I know from other owners, challenging in the snow (unless you are used to rear wheel drive motors, which they are) and ice and snow ... but they are great fun..!

That snow mode button is just there to fool you.... lol..

Keep it in ECT or sport mode and enjoy - But be careful of ice or snow on the road. It does make a difference and the switch actually does dial it down when you change mode.. so is not a gimmick.

However that's my view....

Best

I didnt think they were 4x4. I only asked as there's a couple on autotrader described as such.. Do they suffer from corrosion as I've seen a couple with what looks like rear sufframe corrosion

Had one for a bit, nice a car. No major problems. Our one didn't suffer from corrosion. There was a JDM 4x4 version but it was not officially imported to the UK, although have seen a few grey imports. It would be a Toyota Altezza Gita.
