Best Place To Get A 17" Flat Screen Monitor

Following the excellent advice on washing machines (bosch purchased :whistling: )

I want a 17" Flat screen for the home/office..........looked on eBay some for £300 ish but would rather buy one properly..........

Anyone recommend an a screen and decent shop ?

Ideally you need to go and look at them. Some of the cheap ones have poor backlighting which gives patches of brightness on the screen.

Also some are higher resolution than others. Get one that runs the resolution you want to use. Due to the way they work if you change the resolution from it's maximum the picture quality suffers.

NOt sure on the make of screen dave but theres a place in woolwich on the road between the A2 and charlton called macro's and they are cheap ,you need to be selfemployed to get in .

I usually buy from www.dabs.com. It's usually the cheapest place on the net and their return policy is fair.

I have a Samsung SyncMaster 172B (from dabs.com) which I bought about a year ago for £350, I think. It is very good methinks and looks darn good B)
