Techstream Obd Device

I've heard lots of mentions of Techstream and having looked on e-bay there seems to be various varieties, some 32 bit others 64 bit, some XP only others say multi platform. Which ones do I go for and which do I avoid. It seems a very powerfull tool with the ability to totaly screw thing up as well as tell you what's wrong or not working correctly!

Recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

Techstream works well in 32 bit with XP, using other windows OS it's a bit more complicate, even if it's possible, mainly for drivers problems. About obd interface, better if you get the 2.x version, but for diagnostic purposes also cables with 1.4 fw version work.

About the program, a newer version is obviously better but if you have a "old" car it's not so important to have the newer one.; to have full working option the software has to be registered (and you risk to make damages if you don't know what to do).
