New cambelt on a RX300 05

Recommended Posts

You can get all the parts at a Toyota parts counter:

Timing belt

Water pump & gasket

Tensioner

Aux belt

Spark plugs

Toyota Pink Coolant

And of course if you are doing a service at the same time, oil & filter and air & cabin filters.

I would thoroughly recommend getting the spark plugs changed at the same time when all the stuff is off the engine if you plan on keeping the car for the next 2+ years - all your major items are then taken care of for another 100k then! :)

Lexus will do the timing belt on an RX300 or RX400 for £295 under their Essential Care scheme for cars older than 5 years from new.

That doesn't include the water pump though and I've heard also not the tensioner and idler pullies!
